Who writes the stories? where do you come up with the ideas?
I, David Oliver, so far have written pretty much all the stories. In order to get the story ideas I cull my vast knowledge of religion, politics, sports, psychology, sociology, pop culture, economics, physics, mathematics, medicine, and history. I then find interesting juxtapositions and unseen consequences between these disciplines and apply them to the sports world in an unexpected way. And I also get a lot of ideas when I'm in the shower.
Can I submit a story?
Well sure, but I won't pay you for it. And I don't guarantee I will publish anything. I can't even guarantee I will read it. I definitely cannot say I will provide any comments on it. Generally the stories are 300-400 words and the language tends to be at the level of prime time network television. Use your own judgment. And don't submit someone else's work as your own. That's called plagiarism and it is only appropriate for school.
Do you make a lot of money from this site?
If by "make" you mean "spend", then no not too much.

Can I re-print your story or send it to a friend?
Sure, as long as you give proper credit, meaning you keep the copyright notice and a link back to Left Field Sports.

Pretty funny stuff, but the spelling and much of the grammar is atrocious, why is that?
Because I am just one man. One man who types poorly and simply hasn't the patience or skill to spell good and write proper English. And yes I do have a spell checker that I use. But sometimes changes are made on the fly and get missed, mistakes are made.
How often is Left Field Sports published?
Well we try to publish every Friday or Saturday. The ticker gets updated whenever I can think of something to put there.
