Fans With Signs
Many fans at sporting events hold up signs, much like Brian Allen Donaldson did.

ABC IGNORES
MAN AT GAME
WITH WITTY SIGN

TENNESSEE - Brian Allan Donaldson was left bewildered and shaking his head after the witty sign he brought to the game with him Saturday failed to get him on Saturday's National Telecast of the Tennessee Titans - Buffalo Bills Wild Card Football game.

Donaldson spent the entire previous night preparing the sign, which read "Another Buffalo Crushing" with the first letter of each word emphasized. Donaldson, stated he had hoped that by using the ABC letters in a creative way it would get him on TV.

"I don't know what those people want, honestly. I held it up almost the whole game, but when I got home and watched the tape I wasn't on. Naturally I was very disappointed."

ABC officials offered little explanation for their apparent gaffe stating simply that they were not aware of Donaldson's sign. ABC promised to look into the matter on Donaldson's behalf. Unofficially, however, it is believed that ABC officials simply did not think the sign was that creative or funny.

"Did you see some of the other signs they put on, I mean they were stupid. Mine was superior to almost all of them," noted Donaldson. Witnesses agreed, including Donaldson's long time friend Terry Lineder, who noted, "yeah some of the signs on the telecast were just stupid."

"It's not like I've never been on TV before," explained Donaldson. Apparently in 1993 during a live News remote for Channel 2 News Donaldson managed to get himself prominently into the background as the reporter was summing up his story on funding issues for the local Humane Society.

Channel 2 would not confirm or deny Donaldson prior appearance on their network.
