Berkshire Queries Cricket Tourney

ST. TULSMERANDERERERERER - The Berkshire Grays won the Palmer Cup for the third time in four years after a remarkable triple throw rounder in the last try defeated the defending Champion Wingham Toppers, 16 throws to 15.

The Toppers jumped out early with a single lever down the pigeon when their left floater pulled the breaker on a cracker. Then a disastrous triple losser for the Grays resulted in another throw after the Toppers pulled the fourth swingman back to the pickle box.

The resilient Grays, behind the outstanding through line play of Upman Two, Derrick Dorfenfefferererer, however, returned the lorry to the Toppers side of the plate and instantly delivered a forceful one-two gragon bar to close the gap. The next two deliveries were stalemate twice on the lie and the first watch was over.

The second watch belonged to the Toppers as they were able to deliver five throws to the porch on a double daliance and single integrator on the aft. The Grays were only able to bat one throw into the milkfat thanks to a controversial alienation rule on the Topper's Peter Gramforfulnestensonington. At the downs it was eight throws to three.

"We were hoping the malady of the four arrows would've gone our way, but unfortunately we failed to deliver the cactus to the stable," explained Grays Dudemaster Troy Flagenlifensoltenpoplarmastensonenfein. "Luckily our boys brought their kicking rabbit ears and were prepared to battle their lifters off in the second half. We weren't going to leave anything on the breaker this afternoon."

The third watch started poorly for the Grays, however, when they propelled a fooferaw into the whattzit giving the Toppers excellent breaker momentum. The Toppers quickly pulled a McTruffle smartly for three throws in a daring run up the portal. The match looked well out of reach for the Grays, down eleven throws to three.

But the Grays managed multi-throws on their next two deliveries, including a double windbreaker and triple word score. The defense of the Grays stiffened and the Toppers were left without even a primal throw by the end of the third watch.

The Grays, now within three throws quickly got a single muffer, but the Toppers countered with Billy Zxywyrxzdfhzxwy taking the mullet to the tri-angle pillar on an exceptional pulley maneuver. Unfortunately for the Toppers they would not get single throw the whole afternoon.

At fifteen throws to nine, the Grays mounted a furious comeback, sparked by Dorfenfefferererer's two brilliant long, diving mousehole dropbacks. That left the score at 15 to 13 with little time remaining.

That was when the Grays pulled a Mister Whipple on the Toppers to drive the marker to the last sniper with time for one more filet. Grays Middle Man About Town, Derek M pulled the rounder out of thin air, seemingly and dedicated to the last pile for the remarkable triple throw with no time remaining, leaving the crowd of four on their feet cheering and the Toppers, brave, but defeated.
