Deluded Fan Thinks He Lost To The Pacers

NEW YORK, NY - Longtime New York Knick fan Colin Krueger apparently is suffering from delusions that he is a member of the New York Knicks. This activity, although heightened in scope since the Knicks recent series against the Indiana Pacers, has been going on for years.

"It's kind of weird and creepy," said one of Kreueger's co-workers, Beth Loring. "He'll say something like 'We won!' and you just look at him, because he didn't he win anything. And when you ask him about it he simply denies it."

Lately Krueger was heard to say, "I can't believe we lost. We were up eighteen points and we blew it. The refs didn't exactly help us either. I think we can still win this, but we have got to play better."

According to psychiatrist Marvin Mitchell, "Although I have not examined this man, it sounds like a classic case of paranoid schizophrenia. The forces that be, work, family, the chore of everyday life weigh down on a person until they snap. Frequently they place themselves in an alternate reality, one they feel is better then their real lives."

Krueger's friend Douglass Hansen disagreed, "Yeah every once in while he goes into this delusion of his being a member of the Knicks. It's been going on for years. 'We are gonna beat the Rockets' 'This is our year'. But that is about it, he's pretty normal otherwise. Well he also thinks he is on the Yankees sometimes."

When asked directly if he thought he was a member of the Knicks, Krueger was quick to admit that he wasn't, "No, of course not, why would you think that?"

But it wasn't seconds after that statement that Krueger added, "Anyway the season is over. We should have beaten the Pacers. I think we were the better team, but I guess the better team doesn't always win."
