Billy McFarland and Magnises, The Perfect Business

Billy McFarland has birthed several businesses from a very young age, all of which have been successful. Many of us have good ideas, but it is the quality of putting an idea into the realm of reality that is the difficult task to master.

According to Crunchbase, the latest idea of Billy McFarland that has turned into reality is Magnises. Two other businesses, started by McFarland, one at the age of 13, and another at the age of 21 have also worked well, but Magnises is the ongoing success that has transformed the process of starting new ventures.

Magnises is a venue that is built for millennials and all that they do. The program facilitates impressive discounts at may of their favorite restaurants, clubs, bars, events, travel opportunities and other special events.

All of the pertinent data is copied from the member’s credit or debit card onto the magnetic strip of the Black Card. This allows the member to use the Black Card to pay the bill, and at the same time the discounts are applied. The Black Card is the hallmark of Magness and has become a status symbol among the millennials.

Millenials love to gather together, share stories, brag about themselves, and exchange business contacts. Magnises is a natural format which helps to enhance this activity in a big way. Membership is screened to a point, as there is an online application that must be completed and approved by the management of Magnises.

Member businesses also have to agree to buy into the concept of extra special service for members. It is not uncommon for a member to receive extra perks such as a complimentary bottle of wine at dinner or special seating at events.

At the end of 2015, membership was already well over 10,000 and a recent cash input of $3 million from a venture capitalist bodes well for the future. Expansion plans are in the works with target cities of Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta and London in the offing.

  1. The future looks bright as the business model is working well in New York City, and all evidence points to it being successful elsewhere. It is all accomplished by the Black Card, issued to members for the modest annual membership fee of $250. I would like to say that aussiessay can provide a lot more than what is obtainable.
