Daniel Taub on peace resolution in the Middle East

Daniel Taub is was the Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom in 2011 all the way to 2016. He is one of the best performing envoys in the history of the two countries. Daniel Taub was born in 1962, in the United Kingdom, he attended school in the United Kingdom but in his adult life, he chose to move to Israel. He moved to Israel in 1989.

Daniel Taub is an accomplished international lawyer who specializes in conflict resolution. He was the main diplomat during the Israeli-Palestine peace negotiations. Together with his counterpart from Palestine, they traveled to North Ireland to learn how peace resolution worked there.

Daniel Taub and his Palestine counterpart learned that in the Ireland crisis, the conflicting parties had come up with ways of countering the crisis by ensuring that future generation was told the truth about what happened in the region.

They developed a curriculum that was approved by both parties and it was included in the education system of the conflicting parties.

After Daniel Taub and his counterpart returned home, they proposed the same measures to the committee that was overseeing the peace talks. They adopted the recommendations of the two envoys. A syllabus was developed and was approved by the same committee which consisted of all partied in the conflicting sides.

After a few years of implementation of the syllabus, Palestine reneged on the agreement and refused to implement the peace resolution syllabus. This brought ultimately to the death of the peace agreement as earlier negotiated.

Daniel Taub is optimistic that although the crisis in the middle east region is far from over, there is still hope that there will be working relations between the warring parties in the crisis Daniel Taub talks of the treaties signed by Israel and her neighbors Jordan and Egypt as proof that indeed it is possible to acquire peace in the region if all parties stay loyal to the peace agreements that have been signed.

He also gives another example of silent cooperation that has been established between the Egypt and other countries in the region. Countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt Jordan and the Gulf of states are aligning their interests to those of Israel.

Although these countries have not entered into any formal agreements, such gestures give people hope that there can be a lasting solution to the Middle East crises. The cooperation between these countries is expected to get the region in agreement going into the future.
