Duda Melzer Shares His Secret To Success

Duda Melzer recently said, in a lecture series titled Você com o Presidente, that the only limit in whatever you want to do is only in your head. Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer more popularly known as Duda Melzer is the third generation of the Sirotsky family and the grandson of Maurício Sirotsky Sobrinho, the founder of RBS Group. It is a large media corporation in South Brazil that runs entertainment and journalism brands.

Based on communique-se.com, the lecture series was attended by entrepreneurs and executives and with this year’s theme Commitment to Growth, Duda shared the secret to his success. The chief executive officer believes that in order to be a successful leader, one should concentrate on the people and have the courage to widen the range of the business. The lecture series was a project developed last year and has attracted a massive audience wanting to learn from the stories of various business executives.

Duda Melzer holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Aside from being the chairman of RBS Group, Duda is also the director of the Iberê Camargo Foundation, Wine.com.br, e.Bricks Digital, and the Mercosur Biennial. He is the founder and the chief executive officer of EB Capital.

Before joining in his family’s business, Duda worked as a senior financial analyst at Delphi. He also served as BoxTop Media’s managing director. He also leads the Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise for three years, the members of which include the world’s most influential leaders in philanthropic causes and businesses. The young chief executive officer believes that leadership is consists of a couple of factors which are the people and the domain skills.

Duda Melzer believes that a company can only grow if it employs people who are in love doing their work and working for the success of the company. He also explained the main function of the leader is to determine the profiles of the people and to understand what and where their strengths are.
