Highland Capital is a pioneer in the leveraged loan market. They saw opportunities in that market that others had overlooked. They knew that it was possible to make some money in this market even before others recognized the opportunity. It helped them build up trust with their early investors and get the word out about what it is that they are doing. That word-of-mouth advertising continued to propel their success.
Highland Capital provides a number of industry leading benefits to promote employee success and wellbeing, and they’ve been recognized by Pensions & Investments as one of the Best Places to Work in Money Management.
There is no question that Highland Capital Management will miss its co-founder and the work that he has been able to do for them, but they are glad to see that he has left them with so much to work with. He has undoubtedly made the transition smooth and will continue to get there to advise the fund when called upon.
