Randal Nardone has served as the principal of the firm known as Fortress Investment Group. He co founded the firm in the late 1990’s after a long and successful career in finance. For several years Randal was involved in managing a few firms and made valuable contributions in terms of growth and expansion. As well as being a longtime executive in finance, Randal Nardone has also been a lawyer for many years as well. His successful career has earned him a lot of recognition including a spot on billionaires list according on Forbes.
Nardone looked to attain a higher education when he completed high school. He went on to study biology and English at a university located in Connecticut. After four years of studying the two subjects, Randal completed a degree in both. Once he was finished with his undergraduate education, he went on to study law at Boston University. After three years of studying law, Randal Nardone completed his JD degree and began his career.
After finishing his law school program, Randal Nardone attained a position at the law firm known as Thatcher, Proffitt & Wood. At this firm he was an associate attorney for several years. Towards the end of his stint at the law firm, Randal was appointed to the firms committee of executives. While serving in this role, he was involved in providing key leadership for the organization. This would help him develop the skills and acquire the experience necessary to succeed in his next career in the financial sector.
During a span of ten years, Randal Nardone was a member of a couple of financial services firms. He first joined BlackRock Financial Management and served as its principal. Once he left BlackRock Financial Management, Randal then joined UBS. As a member of UBS, Nardone’s role was serving as the managing director for one year. He would later leave UBS and become an entrepreneur.
Randal helped establish a new firm known as Fortress Investment Group in 1998. When he co founded Fortress Investment Group, Randal envisioned the firm to become a leader at managing alternative assets. During the next couple of decades, Randal would help build the firm into a leading asset management firm. Today, Nardone serves as one of the two principals and is also a member of the firm’s board of directors.
